Candle Care and Instructions
FIRST BURN:
- Trim your wick.
- Make sure for your first burn, the melted wax pool reaches all sides of the candle for a "memory" (2-4 hours) and an even, slow burn thereafter.
PLACE ON A HEAT RESISTANT SURFACE:
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended.
- Never burn a candle near window curtains/treatments or where there is a possible draft, such as a ceiling fan/air currents; candles must burn in well ventilated rooms.
EXTINGUISH:
- A wick dipper/trimmer is recommended to trim the wick after cooling each and every time.
TRIM WICK AFTER EACH AND EVERY USE FOR BEST RESULTS:
- This helps with "mushrooming" control of the wick and prevents the wick from smoking.
- Make sure the wick stays placed in the center of the jar(s). Sometimes with Natural Soy, because the Soy is soft, the wick may tilt to one side. If this occurs, gently position the wick as it's cooling to the touch and re-position.
STORING CANDLES:
- Store candles with the lids on them if they have one, especially Natural Soy because it tends to look dry but it does not affect the slow burn or scent throw.
- Store in a cool, dry place if possible.
